Who We Are

Since 1981, the Agricultural Personnel Management Association (APMA) has served the agricultural industry as a professional, non-profit membership organization dedicated to advancing human resources and safety management. Our mission is to develop forward-thinking leadership within the agribusiness community.

We support our members by delivering timely information and practical resources through workshops, e-news, surveys, our website, certificate programs, and annual events.

APMA hosts two flagship events each year—the Annual Forum and the Annual Retreat—and offers monthly webinars covering key topics such as labor and employment law, recordkeeping, safety, supervisory training, harassment prevention, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, and workforce wellness.

We proudly offer two industry-recognized certificate programs: the Human Resource Professional in Agriculture (HRPA™) and the H-2A Certificate Program.

APMA members benefit from a strong network of professionals specializing in labor relations, employment law, immigration, safety, insurance, labor contracting, executive search, and regulatory compliance—connections that are essential for professional growth in today’s agricultural workforce.

Through our e-news, we keep members informed on current industry issues, regulatory updates, health and safety developments, job opportunities, and key events.

Headquartered in Salinas, California, the APMA office serves as a trusted resource center for information and support in human resources and safety management.
