WHO WE ARE
For over 40-years, the Agricultural Personnel Management Association (APMA) has served the agricultural industry as a professional, non-profit membership organization dedicated to the advancement of Human Resources and Safety Management. Our mission is to encourage and develop creative leadership within the agribusiness community. We accomplish this by disseminating information through workshops, e-news, surveys, website, certificate programs, and our annual conferences.
Our signature events are Annual Forum held in January, and an Annual Retreat held in October. APMA offers monthly webinars pertaining to employment and labor law practices, recordkeeping, safety issues, supervisory training, harassment prevention, wage and hour, mandatory leaves of absence, health and wellness, plus many more related topics. APMA proudly presents two certificate programs – Human Resource Professional in Agriculture (HRPA™) and H-2A Certificate Program.
APMA members have opportunities to develop networking contacts with other members who specialize in labor relations, employment laws, immigration issues, safety, insurance, labor contracting, executive search, governmental regulations, education, and training. This is critical to one’s professional growth in the agricultural industry.
Through our e-news, we keep the membership informed of articles on current agricultural issues, changes in government laws and regulations, health and safety updates, job openings in HR and Safety, as well as important industry events.
The APMA office, headquartered in Salinas, CA, is a resource center for information and materials on Human Resources and Safety management.
